This hand-stiched labor of love is very popular with kids. I usually get a huge following of little girls and boys when I wear it to conventions.
The dress is actually two dresses, which are sewn together at the top to keep the seams straight. It's partially hand-drafted as well, since the pattern used was for a summer dress. The sleeves came from a scarf pattern and the straps for the overdress are rectangles. On the back, there's a ribbon, with hand-made tassels and "wings", which came from a seperate pattern for skirt side-panels. The gold triangles are hand-painted. The mitts and booties are hand-drafted. The belt, necklace and earrings were also hand-made.
