Alucard (Bondage-card)

I had about five would-be clients ask me if I could do Alucard's "bondage" outfit, seen when Integra first meets him and during the fights with Father Anderson and Walter. However, nothing came of these requests. This disappointed me because I really wanted to make one, so I just decided to make one for myself!

The hardest part was finding apparel-quality leather that was not PVC, vinyl or "shiny". Luckily, I was able to find a pair of pants and a Mandarin collar jacket that looked simlar to what I wanted. The next problem I encountered was that the garments proved way too useful for other costumes and everyday wear, so I didn't want to cut them up or alter them significantly for just one costume!

The solution I came up with was to make a network of straps to slip over my jacket. So I went back to my "sewing roots" and dismantled another pair of leather pants that were a little too tight for my liking. I cut the leather pieces into strips and used them to make the strap network. I also used some leftovers to make extra straps for my arms and to dangle off my hips. I placed industrial velcro in key places to keep it in place and some decorative buttons.

The gloves were bought commercially and altered to fit my hands better. Add in my trusty compression vest and Docs and the wig from my Oboro costume and I've got Bondage-card!
