I'm getting quite adept at making jackets! The jacket pictured here is the overcoat worn by Hazama from BlazBlue. The body of the jacket is very similar in style to a jacket I made for my husband last year, only without a Mandarin collar and more embellishments.

The buckles hanging from the collar are standard belt buckles with the middle tine snapped off. I free based the straps on the cuffs and back, adding gold-tone buttons as decoration for accuracy.

The part I'm particularly proud of is making functional pockets where none were intended, right over the front seam of the jacket! The pocket flaps are part of the design, so why not add pockets? Now my client can easily carry his con survival stuff without needing an extra bag.
